Sunday's At 6 :: About Us
"Sundays@6" is a new series of festivals we've created to showcase talent, celebrate arts and science and build community in Williamstown. Piloted in 2009, this year's series builds on the success of the first. The 4 festivals will again feature free musica theatrical performances along with new hands-on art, music science projects led by local artists and educators. Each event will again end with an outdoor classic movie shown by Images Cinema on Williams College's Chapin Lawn. The events will also feature children's activities, artisan food vendors and local non-profit information and project tables. The series is once again being planned by a volunteer group of us with a wide range of Williamstown affiliations.
Our long term goal for Sundays@6 is for the series to be a vehicle for celebrating and enhancing both culture and commerce in Williamstown. Drafting, showcasing and celebrating local talent, art, science and culture enriches everyone in our community! It also builds awareness and appreciation for our community's potential. We'll know we are successful when we hear people say they look forward to summer Sundays in Williamstown!
